The Santa Clara Valley Wrestling Association (SCVWA) is the local California USA Wrestling association operating from Palo Alto to King City.

Team selection is based on several factors:
We are always trying to put together the best SCVWA Team possible, but we are not interested in a win at all cost model. Quality of wrestler is definitely something we take into account, but it is definitely not the only thing. Character of the wrestler and family matters as well. We are trying to put together a team that will win and carry themselves like mature, respectful, gracious competitors.
Do you participate in SCVWA Tournaments (General Rule is have you wrestled two tournaments)
Did you wrestle on the team last year
Past history of SCVWA Tournaments (Sometimes we will let people on due to their past tournament participation)
You must attend HS or MS in the SCVWA zone
You must be in the appropriate grade for the team
